Here is some information about the home and Big Bear area to make the best of your trip!

PLEASE READ

Important Information

  1. Occupancy - Please keep Occupancy to 8 persons max including children.  1 Additional baby/toddler is welcome.
  2. Parking - There are 3 parking spots available for use.  1 in the garage and 2 on the driveway.  No more than 3 cars are allowed.  IMPORTANT.  THERE IS NO STREET PARKING ALLOWED IN BIG BEAR LAKE.  PLEASE KEEP ALL VEHICLES IN THE DRIVEWAY OR GARAGE.
  3. Good Neighbor Policy - In respect to our neighbors and per Big Bear Lake Ordinance, please do not play amplified music that can be heard beyond the property line 24/7.  Please also observe quiet hours from 10PM to 7AM  and bring outside activities inside at that time (including spa usage).  NO PARTIES ARE ALLOWED AT ANYTIME.
  4. Fires - Fire safety is of utmost importance in Big Bear Lake.  Please do not use any candles or wood burning items when at the home.  Only use provided gas fireplace, gas outdoor firepit, outdoor grill, and inside stove for any form of fire.  Make sure all fires are turned off when done with use.
  5. Smoking/Vaping - We kindly ask that you do not smoke or vape in or on the property including the deck area.  
  6. Hot Tub - Please make sure that the hot tub is only enjoyed between 8AM and 10PM daily.
    Bathing suits are required to be used in the hot tub. No regular clothes are allowed as excess detergent in clothes can damage the hot tub.
    Make sure to close the hot tub cover when not in use as to retain heat and not damage system.
    Children under 2 should not ever go in a hot tub. Older children still using diapers will require a swim diaper in the hot tub
    No drinks are allowed in the hot tub. Any spills or other issues requiring a re-fill of the hot tub will incur a minimum $150 fee.

  7. Wildlife - Immersing oneself in the tranquility of Big Bear Lake can be a truly serene experience. However, it’s important to remember that the forest is home to a variety of wildlife, including bears and coyotes.   PLEASE MAKE SURE TO BRING ALL FOOD AND GARBAGE INSIDE AT NIGHT AND BE CAREFUL IF OUTSIDE AFTER DARK.
  8. Pets - We all love our pets but we kindly ask that they do not join on this trip.

Getting Here

The house is centrally located in Big Bear Lake and offers easy access to everything the city has to offer.  

Access to the home is off of the central road through the city, Big Bear Blvd. Make a sharp South West turn on Mill Creek road from Big Bear Blvd.  You will see a sign for "The PINES" at the turn.  Pine Meadow Court is the 2nd street on the left.  Proceed towards the top of the road and the house will be on the right just before the cul-de-sac.

CHAINS -  Please make sure to always carry tire chains in the winter months as road conditions can change suddenly.

 ACCESS INFORMATION

House Essentials

  1. WiFi - Please connect to the following network -

    SSID: 840Guest
    Password: Provided in welcome message and at the house.

  2. Exterior Door Access - All doors are keyless and can be accessed via pin code. To enter the front door or garage door, type in the access code provided at check-in.

    To lock the door when leaving, press the top "Schlage" button and the deadbolt will automatically lock.

    If there are any issues with unlocking the door, pressing the "Schlage" button will clear any issues. Wait a few seconds and then enter the code again.



  3. Heating & Cooling - The thermostat is located in the main hallway as you move towards the rooms.  The house has available A/C for when it gets a bit warmer out in the summer.

  4. Garage Access - To access the garage from outside, locate the control pad on the right side of the garage.  Enter the access code provided at check-in and press the arrow key to open. 

    To close the garage, from the exterior, press the arrow key to activate. 

    The garage door can be opened/closed from the interior using control panel at top of garage stairs.




  5. EV Charging - A Level 2 EV charger is available in the garage to the left of the garage door.  It uses the J1772 standard connector type.  Tesla's will require an adapter to use the charger (not provided).

Check-out Requests

All good things must come to an end.  We kindly ask for a few favors prior to your departure.

  1. Dishes - We ask that all dishes loaded into the dishwasher and dishwasher is started, or dishes are cleaned by hand before leaving. 
  2. Bedding & Towels - All bedding can be left in place on the beds.  If the pullout was used, please leave that pulled out.  Please place all towels in either of the two tubs.
  3. Doors & Window - Please lock the back sliding door, close all windows, and make sure garage is closed and front door is locked when leaving.
  4. Trash - Big Bear Lake requires that all trash be dropped at the city trash sites.  There are two available locations.  The addresses are:

KICK-BACK & RELAX

Living Room

Movie Night - Kick back and relax on the reclining sofa and watch a movie.  The 75" TV features Roku built-in.  Use the Roku remote to turn on the TV and soundbar.  You will be requested to input your checkout date for access.  You can add your own streaming accounts to pick up where you left off, or use the free Roku streaming channels.  All your account information will be removed when your check-out date expires.  

If you have issues with the soundbar not working, turn off the tv, wait 5 sec, then turn it back on and it should reset the audio connection.  Volume controls are on the side of the remote.

Enjoy a cozy fire on your stay. The remote to control the fire is to the right of the fireplace on the wall. Press the "Turn on Flame" button to start the fire. It will take a few seconds. "Flame height will control the amount of heat coming out of the fireplace. Please keep flame height to 3 or less.

WARNING: THE FIREPLACE IS VERY HOT WHEN TURNED ON. PLEASE KEEP KIDS AWAY FROM FIREPLACE WHEN IT IS ON AND AFTER IT IS TURNED OFF UNTIL IT HAS COOLED DOWN.

We have an assortment of games and other activities located in the console table behind the couch and the cabinet to the right of the fireplace. Try a new game or an old classic!

Chef's Kitchen

You will find that our spacious kitchen offers everything you could need to cook any meal like you were in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Enjoy a freshly brewed coffee from our drip maker, customized with your choice of flavored creamers. Alternatively, select from our variety of teas or indulge in a comforting hot chocolate. Savor the moment.

Feel free to cook a feast like you were at home. Our kitchen includes a 6 burner stove, gas oven, microwave, full refrigerator, toaster, blender, waffle maker, and hand mixer. Clean-up is easy with a deep basin sink and dishwasher.

We provide everything a chef could want. Full set of ceramic non-stick cookware including pancake griddle, cast-iron pot, pizza pan, colander, mixing bowls, baking pans, cookie sheets, an assortment of cooking utensils, knife set with steak knives, cutting boards, can opener, cheese greater, ice cream scoop, potato masher, peeler, measuring spoons and cups, whisks, garlic press, storage containers, and more.

Find an assortment of herbs and spices, salt, pepper, and mixed cooking oil sprays.

Full set of dinner plates, bowls, serving dishes, dining utensils, glasses, cups, wine glasses, outdoor dining plates, and an assortment of kids dining wares.

Outdoor Space

Savor the crisp mountain breeze as you unwind in the hot tub or recline by the fire pit.

Soothe your muscles post-mountain adventure with a relaxing soak in the hot tub.

Cover Operation (See Illustration Below) - Unclip the cover at the front of the tub (facing the sliding door of house with stair access).  Lift the cover up so it hinges in the middle over the metal support bar. Lift the full cover the rest of the way open.  The metal arms will support the cover when it's all the way open. (Metal support arm will be located in the middle of the cover).

Control Panel Locked - If the control panel happens to be locked, hold the "OPTIONS" and "LIGHTS"  buttons down at the same time for 4 to 5 seconds to unlock.  

Temperature Locked - If the temperature is not able to be set, go to temperature menu and choose temperature lock and turn it off. 


Hot Tub Rules -  Hot tub access is available from 8 AM to 10 PM. Kindly ensure the cover is closed when it’s not in use, and refrain from consuming food or beverages while in the hot tub.

Gas timer

Enjoy the a beautiful mountain sunset next to the firepit.  

Firepit usage - The propane tank is situated beneath the cube table adjacent to the outdoor sofa.  There is also a red timer for the propane tank next to the tank.  You may need to turn on the main propane tank.  To do so simply lift the table off by the handles.  Gently turn the valve clockwise 2 turns to open.

To use the timer, turn the red knob past at least 20 minutes to start the gas flow.  Timer can be set for up to 60 minutes at a time.

Facing the sofa, you’ll find the fire pit controls. Initiate the gas flow and press the electronic ignitor to ignite. Remember to turn off the fire pit and securely close the propane valve after use.

Enjoy a summer BBQ on the gas Weber grill.

Grill Usage - Before grilling, kindly remove the cover and set it aside from the cooking space. If the main gas line is off, locate the valve at deck level and rotate it so that it is vertical to initiate the gas flow. Activate the gas, then press the electric ignitors to light the flame. Ensure that the burners are switched off after cooking. Once the grill has cooled down, please turn off the main gas line and replace the grill cover. Experience unparalleled tranquility. Our bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged to ensure you enjoy a restful night’s sleep.

The primary bedroom is designed as a tranquil haven, perfect for unwinding and enjoying a peaceful night’s sleep. It features a luxurious king-sized bed adorned with crisp, inviting linens, an array of plush pillows, and room-darkening drapes to extend your morning slumber.

For entertainment, a 65-inch television equipped with Roku awaits, offering the perfect setup for late-night viewing. Additionally, a dedicated workspace with a desk is available, catering to those who blend work with leisure during their stay.

The second bedroom is equally inviting, featuring a king bed with soft sheets and an abundance of pillows for ultimate comfort. It is equipped with room-darkening curtains to ensure a serene environment and a desk to accommodate work needs. For leisure, a 50-inch television with integrated Roku provides a relaxing viewing experience before sleep.

The third bedroom is versatile, providing an enjoyable area for children and a sophisticated space for adults. It boasts a queen-sized bed with a twin bunk above, ensuring ample sleeping arrangements. A plush chair offers a snug spot for reading and doubles as an additional pull-out twin bed. For entertainment, a 50-inch television with Roku is also available in this room. 

Upper Bunk - It is highly advised that the upper bunk be reserved for kids age 8 and up!

Pull-out Bed Setup - The chair can be pulled out easily to make another twin bed. Please do as follows.

  • Remove back cusion of chair

  • Pull the seat cusion out towards you. It will slide fully back extending into the bed position.

  • Place the back cusion flat in the opening at the top of the bed

  • A mattress topper and linens can be found in the closet on the right hand side.

Each bathroom offers everything you could need

All the bathrooms come stocked with bath soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and all the towels you could need.  You will also find make-up towels for after a night out.

The primary bathroom is a spacious retreat featuring a dual vanity for convenience, a generous walk-in shower, and a deep soaking tub designed for ultimate relaxation.

The additional two bedrooms share a Jack & Jill bathroom, which features a separate area with a dual vanity, distinct from the room housing the toilet & tub/shower.
